Grouse Shooting is fast approaching
get your Essentials ready
With the grouse shooting fast approaching we have made a short to do list of things that you might have forgotten
1. Clothing - dress for the heat of summer but no white or bright colours. Dark tweed and a shooting glasses is a must. Also remember your rain protection due to the varied weather.
2. Cartridges - stick to what you know best. Remember fibre wad ONLY. If you our used to partridges and pheasants i would use the same gram cartridges as you already can judge the distance and lead time with that weight of cartridge
3. Last min check - Guns, cartridges, slips, cartridge bag, cleaning kit, trusty stick
- Coat, hat, eye protection, jacket, breeks, shirt & tie, shoes or boots
- Dog, dog bed, food and water for the moor
4. Car Keys - One simple trick is to attach your car keys to a coloured fob, so if you drop them there is a chance of finding them
Few things i shall be taking with me
a. New bespoke shooting stick made by the STICKMANWALKS, made of my black labrador magnum
b. Extensive 11's including 12 different homemade spirirts and 24 stirrup cups
c. Shooting tweed - Grey
d. Shirt and socks from John Norris of Penrith
e. Boots from Harkila
f. Weather kit from Ardmoor
